Windows 10: When Lenovo Yoga 300 is very slow

Sometimes a Lenovo Yoga 300 is very slow when running Windows 10. Here are some tips to try. 

System File Checker (sfc)

Run Windows PowerShell (Admin):

 
sfc /scannow

Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM)

Run Windows PowerShell (Admin):

 
dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

The hypervisorlaunchtype

Try to disable "hypervisorlaunchtype" run Windows PowerShell (Admin):

 
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

Startup Apps

Minimize the Startup Apps.

Performance Option

Adjust for best performance.

Device Manager

DELETE ALL broken devices, then try to update the device drivers. DISABLE the remaining devices.

Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Driver

It has been reported that there are problems with Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Driver for Lenovo Yoga 300. You might want to delete it.

VirtualBox (Windows): Call to NEMR0InitVMPart2 failed

After having both updated Windows 10 21H1 and VirtualBox, the Virtual Guests would not boot. The error message was:

Call to NEMR0InitVMPart2 failed:

VERR_NEM_INIT_FAILED (VERR_NEM_VM_CREATE_FAILED).

I am not sure which causes the problem, either the Windows or the VirtualBox. But, the "standard fix" was executing on Admin's Power Shell:

bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

Then, reboot!

Windows 10: VirtualBox tidak bisa Print Screen

Terkadang keluaran VirtualBox tidak dapat ditangkap dengan tombol Print Screen. Untuk itu, diperlukan sedikit perubahan pada VirtualBox:

Pada VirtualBox Manager, lakukan:

File --> Preferences --> Input

Kemudian, hapus pilihan (deselect)  "Auto Capture Keyboard" pada pojok kiri bawah.

Windows 10: Verbose Status

Terkadang, Windows 10 dalam keadaan tidak keruan serta sangat membingungkan karena tidak ada info apa-apa selain hang.

Dengan REGEDIT, kita dapat menyalakan "VerboseStatus = 1", yaitu kita dapat mengintip apa yang terjadi.

 
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system

 
Lalu tambahkan / ubah DWORD:

 
VerboseStatus = 1

Untuk selanjutnya, Windows 10 akan menjadi "berisik" melaporkan apa yang lagi terjadi!

Cara mematikan hibernasi pada Windows 10 dengan menjalankan "PowerShell" sebagai administrator:

Windows 10 Sudah Tiba!

Ha!?

Setelah beberapa hari menunggu, akhirnya upgrade Windows 10 "mampir" juga! Mulai sekarang menggunakan Windows 10! Jujur saja; saya tidak merasakan perbedaan nyata antara Windows 8.1 dan Windows 10.

Daftar Masalah

Ada beberapa masalah yang terjadi saat transisi dari Windows 8.1 ke Windows 10:

1. Pastikan bahwa anda "rajin" mengupdate program-program tambahan yang tidak otomatis diupdate. Umpamanya program antivirus "Kaspersky Internet Security" (KIS) dianggap tidak kompatibel dengan Windows 10 sehingga tidak ikut terinstall. Akibatnya, KIS harus diinstall ulang dengan "DOWNLOAD TRAIL VERSION" terakhir. 
2. Ada sedikit masalah pada Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX) yang sedikit "menjengkelkan" walaupun tidak fatal.
3. Tidak jelas cara install ulang jika terjadi CRASH. Apakah harus mulai lagi dari install Windows 8, lalu upgrade ke Windows 8.1, lalu ke Windows 10? Cape deh!
4. Ada yang lainnya?
