Septik Tank: Kapan Kuras?

Shit Happens!

Berapa sering kita harus menguras Septik Tank (ST)? Berdasarkan penelusuran Google, hasilnya sangat bervariasi dari satu pendapat ke pendapat lainnya. Ada sumber yang merumuskan bahwa ST ukuran 1 meter-kubik harus dikuras setiap 2 tahun untuk sebuah keluarga beranggota 4 (empat).

Berdasarkan sumber lain, kenyataan di lapangan, ST rumahan biasanya dikuras setiap 10-20 tahun. Berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi, ST pertama dikuras tahun 2012 lalu, untuk rumah yang mulai dihuni sejak 1986. Syarat dan ketentuan berlaku, sebab pada awalnya rumah jarang ditempati, serta pada awalnya belum ada anak.

Kesimpulan sementara, ST akan dikuras lagi sekitar tahun 2022?!
